Personality:


A few key words describe Seth Gecko. Take charge. The 'calm one', which really doesn't mean much.  It just means he's calmer than his crazy brother.  A raving lunatic is calmer than Richie Gecko. He's stubborn and sarcastic.  It's a defense mechanism, really, when things go wrong and oh boy are things going wrong these days. 

So wrong. 

Seth is protective of those he cares about, it's one of the reasons he's stuck by his brother so long even though Richie is quite clearly losing his mind.  Richie is his family. Family sticks together, no matter what. It'll take a hell of a lot to make him give up on you. He never gave up on his dad, even though he was abusive.  Later, even when he claims that he has, he'll still find it impossible to give up on Richie. 

Family does not neccesarily even mean blood.  Kate Fuller very quickly becomes his family, and he does everything he can to protect her. Even when protecting her means driving her away. Abandoning her. If that's what it takes to keep family safe, he'll do it.  He'll go through Hell and back, and has! The difference between him and his movie counterpart, however, is that his movie counterpart wouldn't have been "as much of a dick" to bring her into the 'family business' in the first place. 

This version of Seth is exactly that much of a dick. 

The job? Important to Seth. More important than the actual goal. It's thrilling. It's a rush.  He doesn't so much care about the money, but it's a nice perk. 


Why do you think your character would work in this setting?

If there's anyone in need of a second change who might actually try (and probably fail) to take it, it's Seth Gecko. He won't exactly be anxious to get home and get back into the fray of fighting culebras, well...not once he realises the potential in this place.


How do you plan to expand their CR?

He'll make friends. The better to plan jobs, when he eventually figures out there is a whole galaxy out there that is ripe for the Job and hasn't even heard of The Gecko Bros.

What will your character do for work?

Bartender at Glitterati, if they're hiring.

Seth knelt on the ground beside the wall of the one room cabin, rummaging through the go-bag he'd grabbed on his way the hell out of that no-star no-tell mo-tel he'd been staying at down south. Looking for something important, something he needed right damn now.

Aha. Got 'em. Cigarettes. Red Apple. Obviously.

He stood up quickly, lighting the cigarette he had pulled out of the old and battered pack. The flare of a torch lighter briefly illuminating the room, and a flash of light against the steel of a knife in front of him startling him into dropping the lighter onto the floor.

The knife came at him, swinging towards his head as he ducked down fast, rolling towards his gun and grabbing it with both hands. Aiming it at the culebra and pulling the trigger. It did barely a damned fucking thing, stunning the 'vampire' rather than killing it.

"Stubborn fucker. I know I killed you once." Seth swung the butt of the gun, not wincing one little bit as it connected with the other man’s skull. The knife went flying, and he kicked out, sending the vampire careening across the room.

Of course he grabbed the knife. Seth sniffed deep, clenching his cigarette between his lips as he made his way over to him, holding the blade to the man's neck.

And then he struck downward. "Do me a favor? Stay dead." Another swing, and he was pretty damned sure the vampire was going to do just that.

Of course, he could not say the same about the other vampires outside the cabin. "Fuck."
